Once you click on “Enroll” you will see the course homepage and an option to “Take this course.” You will create a username and password. Once you have paid for enrollment, you can revisit that home page and progress through the chapters at your own pace. You can log in to access the course materials from any computer, tablet, or mobile device. The subscription provides one year of access.

At this time, the state of California does not accredit courses to fulfil the ethnic studies requirement. Individual schools enjoy freedom to approve courses that meet the California Ethnic Studies Model Curriculum. Native American History: A Curriculum From Home is aligned with the California standards and is eligible to fulfil the state graduation requirement for ethnic studies. Students may ask their charter or public school to approve the curriculum for their graduation requirements. The California Curriculum Center is also ready to assist in course approvals for any charter or public school.

Yes, the course provides a blank mid-year certificate and blank end-of-year certificate. Educators and parents are responsible for tracking student progress, assigning grades, determining completion, and signing off on the certificate.

We offer a full refund within 48 hours of purchase if the content has not been accessed or reviewed at length. However, once significant portions of the content have been reviewed or used, the purchase is non-refundable.

The course is designed for independent study and does not include live instruction or direct instructor feedback. The course is a framework that educators and parents may assign and follow up with students. The course does contain automatically graded quizzes that offers immediate feedback and provides grading rubrics for parents and educators.

Parents and educators are expected to follow up on student work, ensuring regular progress in readings, the completion of quizzes, and one written assignment each month.
